Website with your own domain name
Your website comes with one domain name, like yourname.eu. A new one, registered in your name, or one you already have. There's no separate bill for it: the domain is in the yearly price.

A new domain name
- Pick your extension. Every extension costs the same. Which ones you can have depends on the holder's country:
- Ireland: .eu, .com, .nl, .be, .fr or .at. We don't register .ie.
- Germany: .de, .nl, .com, .eu, .be, .fr or .at. A .de is only for a holder in Germany; that's a rule of DENIC, which runs .de.
- Elsewhere in the EU: your country's own extension first where we register it (.nl, .be, .fr, .at), otherwise .eu or .com.
- In your name. You are the holder, not us. We register the name through our domain partner Openprovider. For a .fr, AFNIC, which runs .fr, wants your full first name.
- Renewed every year. As long as you're a customer, we renew your domain name, even if a payment is late. You don't pay for it separately: it's in the €43.56 a year.
Already have a domain name
Then you connect it to your new website, for the same price. The domain name stays with your own registrar, where you pay for it and renew it.
- When you pay, choose “I already have a domain name” and type it in. A subdomain, such as site.yourname.ie, works too.
- After you pay, we email you a few DNS records: for your website, and one that shows the name is yours.
- You set them at your registrar. We check when they're right, and email you as soon as your website works on your domain.
We only ask for records for your website, not for your mail: a mailbox you have on that domain keeps working as it does now. We don't copy over the content of your old website; you fill in your details again.
The domain name stays yours
- Moving is always possible. Ask us for the transfer code; you get it within 5 days.
- Stopping. Your domain name works until the end of your hosting. After that we no longer renew it and email you the transfer code.
- Cooling-off period. As a consumer you have 14 days to change your mind. If your domain name is already registered in your name by then, we keep what the registration actually cost us, at most €14.51 incl. VAT. The domain name stays yours (withdrawal).

Amounts incl. VAT are what a consumer pays: for now 21% Dutch VAT, also in other EU countries; if that becomes your country's rate, you see it when you order. A business with a VAT number that VIES confirms pays the amount excl. VAT (reverse charge). You get a reminder 30 and 7 days before each renewal. The price of a new year only changes if our costs demonstrably change or with the price index, and you hear about it at least 30 days ahead (terms).
You can order from any EU country. In Luxembourg we don't register .lu; you get .eu or .com.

Questions
What does a website with a domain name cost?
The first year is €67.76 incl. VAT for a one-page website, or €102.85 for up to 5 pages. That covers making your website, hosting, https and the domain name. Every year after that you pay €43.56 (that's €3.63 a month), and the renewal of your domain name is in it. Over three years: what a website costs.
Do I get an email address on my domain?
You get forwarding, not a mailbox. Mail to, say, hello@yourname.eu goes to an inbox you already have, for up to 3 addresses. You can't send from that address with it, and forwarding only works with a domain name we register for you.
Can I get a .ie domain?
Not from us: we don't register .ie. A holder in Ireland can choose .eu, .com, .nl, .be, .fr or .at. Already have a .ie? Connect it to your new website for the same price; it stays with the registrar you have now.
What if my name is taken?
You see that as soon as you type it, and we suggest names that are still free. You can also choose another extension, such as .eu or .com.
What happens to my domain name if I stop?
It stays yours. Your website and domain name keep working until the end of your hosting. After that we no longer renew the domain name and you get the transfer code, so you can renew it elsewhere. You can download a copy of your website as a zip file.
