What your guests look for on your website
- What’s on the menu, and what does it cost?
- Your dishes with prices, by course if you put the course first (“Lunch: Club sandwich”).
- Are you open today?
- Your opening hours on the door, today highlighted, and on the chalkboard at the top.
- How do I book a table?
- One tap to call, your booking link, or the form with day, time and number of guests.
- What does it look like inside?
- Your own photos, if you have them. I never put photos of someone else’s food or dining room on your website.
What’s on your restaurant website
Top to bottom, as in the example of The Quay Kitchen. A block you leave empty stays off, and with up to five pages your services, the part about you and contact each get a page of their own.
- At the top
- In the example, “Lunch, dinner and a drink by the water”: your name, what you do and one button to call you.
- Services and prices
- Each service on its own line with the price you set; the example has 10 lines, such as ‘Lunch: Soup of the day’, ‘Lunch: Eggs on toast’ and ‘Lunch: Ham and cheese toastie’.
- Opening hours
- Your hours for each day, with today highlighted; the example is open 6 days, the first from 11:30 to 22:00.
- About you
- In the example, “About The Quay Kitchen”: who you are and how you work, with your own photo if you have one.
- Photos
- Photos of your own work, only if you upload at least 2.
- Reviews
- Only reviews from your own customers that you add yourself; without reviews this block stays off.
- Book a table
- Only with the quote form and inbox: customers fill in ‘Date and time’, ‘Number of people’ and ‘Phone number’, and each request lands in the inbox in your account.
- Contact
- In the example, “Book a table”: call, WhatsApp and email, and your address with a directions link if you show it.

Questions from restaurants and cafés
Can guests book online?
If you already use a booking system, such as OpenTable or ResDiary, your website links to it; that costs nothing extra. Or you add the request form: guests send a day, time and number of guests and you confirm. That costs €18.15 to set up and €29.04 a year, incl. VAT. Without either, guests call you.
Can I change my menu myself?
Yes. Dishes, prices and opening hours: you change them yourself in your account, for free, and they’re live straight away.
Will it say my food is organic or gluten-free?
Only if you type it yourself. Words like organic, homemade, gluten-free or a Michelin star you don’t mention, the AI never puts on your website.
I don’t have good photos yet
Then the menu carries your website: the chalkboard, the menu card and your hours on the door. Your own photos join them once you have them.
Will people find my restaurant on Google?
Your website runs on your own domain name, Google can read it, and the code says what kind of business you are, your address if you show it, your hours and the places you cover. When someone searches “restaurant near me”, Google often shows businesses on the map first; for that you need a free Google Business Profile. Your account has a short checklist to set it up and to ask customers for a review. Nobody can promise you a top spot, and I won’t either.
How much does a website cost for a restaurant or café?
Website, 1 page: €67.76 the first year, then €43.56 a year, incl. VAT. Your menu with prices, your opening hours and one tap to call for a table. Website, 1 page, with quote form and inbox: €114.95 the first year, then €72.60 a year. A request for a group, a party or catering, with the date and number of guests. Tradesman: up to 5 pages with quote form and inbox: €143.99 the first year, then €72.60 a year. Your menu, lunch, dinner, groups and contact each on a page of their own, with the request form on them. The first year covers making your website, hosting, https and the domain name (a new one in your name, or your own); the years after cover hosting, the domain name and the add-ons you keep. Excl. VAT, that’s €56, then €36 a year.
How soon is my website online?
You see it while you fill in your details, on a computer and on a phone; the copy is written in about half a minute. Once you approve it and pay, it goes online straight away. Then I check it myself, within one working day. If the system flags something, I check first and the site goes online after that. Already have a domain name? Your website runs on it as soon as you’ve set the DNS records at your registrar; you get an email when it’s ready.

AI writes, I check
AI drafts the text from what you tell it. I check every new website myself, within one working day after it goes online.
You pay after you’ve seen it
You see your own website first and only pay once you approve it.
Nothing locked in
Your domain name is registered in your name, and you can download your whole website as a zip file at any time.
