What your customers look for on your website

What have you built before?
Your projects with your own photos, each with a small sign. Without your own photos that block stays off: I never show someone else’s work as yours.
Do you do extensions, kitchens or windows?
Your work as a schedule with heavy rules. Prices only where you give them.
Do you work in my area?
The places you cover, on the site board and at the bottom of the page.
How do I ask for a quote?
Call is on the board. With the quote form your customer asks for a quote in two steps.

What’s on your building company website

Top to bottom, as in the example of Solid Build. A block you leave empty stays off, and with up to five pages your services, the part about you and contact each get a page of their own.

At the top
In the example, “Building work in Limerick”: your name, what you do and one button to call you.
Services and prices
Each service on its own line with the price you set; the example has 5 lines, such as ‘Renovations’, ‘Extensions’ and ‘Dormers’.
Booking
Only with Online booking: customers pick a service such as ‘Renovations’, a day and a time themselves; you set how long each service takes in your account, where the calendar is too.
About you
In the example, “About Solid Build”: who you are and how you work, with your own photo if you have one.
Where you work
The places you cover, one by one; the example has 5: Limerick, Castletroy, Raheen, Dooradoyle and more.
Request a quote
Only with the quote form and inbox: customers fill in ‘Type of work’, ‘Address of the job’ and ‘Preferred start date’, and each request lands in the inbox in your account.
Contact
In the example, “Contact”: call, WhatsApp and email, and your address with a directions link if you show it.

One price a year. Domain and hosting included.

First year €67.76 incl. VAT (€56 excl. VAT), then €43.56 a year (€36 excl. VAT). You only pay once you’ve seen your website and approved it. Want to stop? Questions from builders

Can I show photos of my projects?

Yes. Add them while you fill in your details or later in your account. From two photos of your own, a projects block appears on your website.

How do quote requests come in?

Through the quote form on your website. Your customer describes their plans and leaves their details. Every request lands in the inbox in your account and you get an email. The form costs €18.15 to set up and €29.04 a year, incl. VAT (it comes with the Tradesman package). Without the form, customers simply call, message or email you.

What goes on the site board?

Only your own details: your name as the builder, your work, the places you cover, since when you’ve been in business and your phone number. No clients, project names or figures you don’t type.

Can I mention memberships and guarantees?

Only if you type it yourself. Memberships, registrations and guarantees you don’t mention, the AI never puts on your website.

Will people find me when they search for a builder?

Your website runs on your own domain name, Google can read it, and the code says what kind of business you are, your address if you show it, your hours and the places you cover. When someone searches “builder near me”, Google often shows businesses on the map first; for that you need a free Google Business Profile. Your account has a short checklist to set it up and to ask customers for a review. Nobody can promise you a top spot, and I won’t either.

How much does a website cost for a builder?

Website, 1 page: €67.76 the first year, then €43.56 a year, incl. VAT. Your name on the site board, your work and the places you cover on one page. Website, 1 page, with quote form and inbox: €114.95 the first year, then €72.60 a year. A request for a renovation or an extension, with a description and photos of the situation. Tradesman: up to 5 pages with quote form and inbox: €143.99 the first year, then €72.60 a year. New builds, renovations, your own projects and contact each on a page of their own, with the quote form on them. The first year covers making your website, hosting, https and the domain name (a new one in your name, or your own); the years after cover hosting, the domain name and the add-ons you keep. Excl. VAT, that’s €56, then €36 a year.

How soon is my website online?

You see it while you fill in your details, on a computer and on a phone; the copy is written in about half a minute. Once you approve it and pay, it goes online straight away. Then I check it myself, within one working day. If the system flags something, I check first and the site goes online after that. Already have a domain name? Your website runs on it as soon as you’ve set the DNS records at your registrar; you get an email when it’s ready.

About paying, your domain name, cancelling and who writes the copy: see the general questions.

Why it costs less

No agency hours and no surprises. This is where the price difference comes from, and what you can check yourself.

Designs made in advance, per trade

Each design is built once for one trade. You fill in your details instead of paying for a designer’s hours.

AI writes, I check

AI drafts the text from what you tell it. I check every new website myself, within one working day after it goes online.

You pay after you’ve seen it

You see your own website first and only pay once you approve it.

Nothing locked in

Your domain name is registered in your name, and you can download your whole website as a zip file at any time.
