What your customers look for on your website
- Which finishes do you do?
- Your finishes by name: skim coat, smooth plaster, textured, spray finish, each with a short explanation.
- What does it cost per m²?
- Prices per m², per room or from: as you give them.
- What does your work look like?
- Your own walls and ceilings, from two photos up. Without your own photos that block stays off.
- Can you come and measure up?
- With the request form your customer names the rooms and rough size, with photos, so you can measure up or quote.
What’s on your plastering website
Top to bottom, as in the example of Limestone Plastering. A block you leave empty stays off, and with up to five pages your services, the part about you and contact each get a page of their own.
- At the top
- In the example, “Smooth walls, ready for paint or paper”: your name, what you do and one button to call you.
- Services and prices
- Each service on its own line with the price you set; the example has 6 lines, such as ‘Wall skim, ready to paper’, ‘Wall skim, ready to paint’ and ‘Ceiling skim’.
- Booking
- Only with Online booking: customers pick a service such as ‘Wall skim, ready to paper’, a day and a time themselves; you set how long each service takes in your account, where the calendar is too.
- Photos
- Photos of your own work, only if you upload at least 2.
- About you
- In the example, “Tape first, then plaster”: who you are and how you work, with your own photo if you have one.
- Reviews
- Only reviews from your own customers that you add yourself; without reviews this block stays off.
- Where you work
- The places you cover, one by one; the example has 7: Cork city, Douglas, Ballincollig, Carrigaline and more.
- Request a quote
- Only with the quote form and inbox: customers fill in ‘Type of work’, ‘Finish’, ‘Roughly how many m²’, ‘Address of the job’ and ‘Preferred start date’, and each request lands in the inbox in your account.
- Contact
- In the example, “Contact”: call, WhatsApp and email, and your address with a directions link if you show it.

Questions from plasterers
How do requests come in?
Through the quote form on your website. Your customer names the rooms, roughly how many m², and adds photos. Every request lands in the inbox in your account and you get an email. The form costs €18.15 to set up and €29.04 a year, incl. VAT (it comes with the Tradesman package). Without the form, customers simply call, message or email you.
Can I show a price per m²?
Yes. For each finish you choose per m², per room or per job, and whether it’s a “from” price.
I don’t have photos of my work yet
Then you start without: the block with your work appears from two photos of your own, and you add them later in your account.
Can I mention removing old textured ceilings?
Old textured coatings can contain asbestos. Only list removal if you’re trained and licensed for it where you work; otherwise leave it out.
Will people find me when they search for a plasterer?
Your website runs on your own domain name, Google can read it, and the code says what kind of business you are, your address if you show it, your hours and the places you cover. When someone searches “plasterer near me”, Google often shows businesses on the map first; for that you need a free Google Business Profile. Your account has a short checklist to set it up and to ask customers for a review. Nobody can promise you a top spot, and I won’t either.
How much does a website cost for a plasterer?
Website, 1 page: €67.76 the first year, then €43.56 a year, incl. VAT. Your finishes and price per m², your own work and the places you cover on one page. Website, 1 page, with quote form and inbox: €114.95 the first year, then €72.60 a year. A request with the rooms, roughly how many m² and photos, to measure up or quote. Tradesman: up to 5 pages with quote form and inbox: €143.99 the first year, then €72.60 a year. Walls, ceilings, decorative finishes, your own work and contact each on a page of their own, with the request form on them. The first year covers making your website, hosting, https and the domain name (a new one in your name, or your own); the years after cover hosting, the domain name and the add-ons you keep. Excl. VAT, that’s €56, then €36 a year.
How soon is my website online?
You see it while you fill in your details, on a computer and on a phone; the copy is written in about half a minute. Once you approve it and pay, it goes online straight away. Then I check it myself, within one working day. If the system flags something, I check first and the site goes online after that. Already have a domain name? Your website runs on it as soon as you’ve set the DNS records at your registrar; you get an email when it’s ready.
