What your customers look for on your website
- Do you do this kind of job?
- Your jobs on a list: hanging and mounting, doors and locks, sealant, small carpentry.
- What does an hour cost, and the call-out?
- Your hourly rate and call-out charge as their own lines, exactly as you charge them.
- Can I send a photo of the job?
- WhatsApp up front, call next to it.
- Do you come to my area?
- The places you cover, one by one.
What’s on your handyman website
Top to bottom, as in the example of Jack Burke Handyman. A block you leave empty stays off, and with up to five pages your services, the part about you and contact each get a page of their own.
- At the top
- In the example, “Your list of jobs, done in one go”: your name, what you do and one button to message you on WhatsApp.
- Services and prices
- Each service on its own line with the price you set; the example has 8 lines, such as ‘Hourly rate’, ‘Call-out charge’ and ‘Hanging lights, shelves and curtain rails’.
- Booking
- Only with Online booking: customers pick a service such as ‘Hourly rate’, a day and a time themselves; you set how long each service takes in your account, where the calendar is too.
- About you
- In the example, “About Jack”: who you are and how you work, with your own photo if you have one.
- Photos
- Photos of your own work, only if you upload at least 2.
- Reviews
- Only reviews from your own customers that you add yourself; without reviews this block stays off.
- Where you work
- The places you cover, one by one; the example has 6: Kilkenny, Callan, Thomastown, Castlecomer and more.
- Request a job
- Only with the quote form and inbox: customers fill in ‘Type of job’, ‘Postcode’, ‘How much work do you think it is’ and ‘When would suit you best’, and each request lands in the inbox in your account.
- Contact
- In the example, “Message or call”: call, WhatsApp and email, and your address with a directions link if you show it.
One price a year. Domain and hosting included.
First year €67.76 incl. VAT (€56 excl. VAT), then €43.56 a year (€36 excl. VAT). You only pay once you’ve seen your website and approved it. Want to stop? Your domain name stays yours and you can download your website as a zip. The domain name: a new one (.eu, .com, .nl, .be, .fr or .at) registered in your name, or one you already own.

Questions from handymen
Can I show my hourly rate and call-out charge?
Yes, as separate lines with your services. You change them later yourself in your account, for free.
How do requests come in?
Through the quote form on your website. Your customer lists their jobs. Every request lands in the inbox in your account and you get an email. The form costs €18.15 to set up and €29.04 a year, incl. VAT (it comes with the Tradesman package). Without the form, customers simply call, message or email you.
Can I list boiler or gas jobs?
Only if you’re registered for gas work: work on gas appliances needs a registered installer. Without that registration, leave them out.
How is this different from the builder design?
The scale. The builder design opens with a site board for renovations; this one is for small jobs, with your hourly rate and WhatsApp up front.
Will people find me when they search for a handyman?
Your website runs on your own domain name, Google can read it, and the code says what kind of business you are, your address if you show it, your hours and the places you cover. When someone searches “handyman near me”, Google often shows businesses on the map first; for that you need a free Google Business Profile. Your account has a short checklist to set it up and to ask customers for a review. Nobody can promise you a top spot, and I won’t either.
How much does a website cost for a handyman?
Website, 1 page: €67.76 the first year, then €43.56 a year, incl. VAT. Your jobs, your hourly rate and call-out charge, and WhatsApp for a photo of the job. Website, 1 page, with quote form and inbox: €114.95 the first year, then €72.60 a year. A request with what needs doing and photos, so you can give a price up front. Tradesman: up to 5 pages with quote form and inbox: €143.99 the first year, then €72.60 a year. Your jobs, rates, the places you cover and contact each on a page of their own, with the request form on them. Website, 1 page, with online booking: €170.61 the first year, then €116.16 a year. Customers book a small job themselves for a half-day that suits you. The first year covers making your website, hosting, https and the domain name (a new one in your name, or your own); the years after cover hosting, the domain name and the add-ons you keep. Excl. VAT, that’s €56, then €36 a year.
How soon is my website online?
You see it while you fill in your details, on a computer and on a phone; the copy is written in about half a minute. Once you approve it and pay, it goes online straight away. Then I check it myself, within one working day. If the system flags something, I check first and the site goes online after that. Already have a domain name? Your website runs on it as soon as you’ve set the DNS records at your registrar; you get an email when it’s ready.
